1. Job Title: Protection Data Assistant

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Starting Date: depending on grants signature

General Objective

  • Under the supervision of the Deputy Project Manager, the Data Protection Officer will contribute to the implementation of Protection activities through supporting the Protection team in data collection, consolidation and quality management.
  • S/he will be in charge of the compilation and data analysis, data cleaning and the Kobo extract to ensure the protection and proper internal management of the protection data.
  • In close coordination with MEAL department, S/he will also be in charge of supporting the accountability strategy for the Protection Department in Maiduguri, as well as strengthen capacity-building and capitalization through the development and the implementation of learning tools and process.

Requiered Skills

  • Language skills: Fluent in Kanuri, Hausa and English (speaking/reading/writing),
  • Education degree: At least a degree or diploma in Statistics, Mathematics, Demography, Sociology, or a numeracy discipline.
  • Work experience: Proven experience working in NGOs. Previous experience in data base design, and data management is an asset
  • Knowledge and skills: Good analytical and writing skills/very good team spirit/Demonstrate willingness to improve own knowledge and skills by participating actively in any training sessions and capacity building activities,
  • Computer skills: Comprehensive knowledge of the MS office software especially Excel, and database management. ExcelA basic understanding of data analysis packages such as SPSS, Epi-Info etc.

2. Job Title: Air Cargo Consolidation Project Manager (National)

Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Overal Mission

General Objective:

  • Under the direct supervision of the DFCP, ensure the timely, accurate, and effective management and implementation of the Air Cargo Consolidation Project.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Project Management:

  • Manages the day-to-day activities of the Air Cargo Project
  • Ensures that project planning and monitoring tools are up to date and accurate
  • Updates the project monitoring tools on a monthly basis to reflect project implementation status
  • Drafts monthly progress reports in line with project and donor requirements
  • Follows up with project logistics, HR, and financial aspects of the project.

Required Skills:

  • Language skills: Fluent in Hausa and English (Kanuri is a plus)
  • Education degree: University or technical degree in Social Science, Supply Chain, Management, Logistics
  • Work experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position (NGOs/private companies)
  • Knowledge & skills: Good analytical and writing skills. Good management capacities and team leadership spirit
  • Computer skills: Good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Outlook. Excellent Excel knowledge.

3. Job Title: Protection Project Manager

Location: Monguno, Borno
Employee status: Employee
Type of contract: Fixed Term Contract
Expected start date: 15/08/2019
Duration of mission: 6 months minimum

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator Monguno, and the technical guidance of the country Protection Coordinator, the Monguno Protection PM is in charge of developing and ensuring the good implementation of project activities. The component under the Protection PM supervision, part of PUI holistic response to the Kukawa population needs, aims at setting up and managing a Protection program through a community approach in the area of intervention (Kukawa LGA) with the objectives to:

  • Contribute to community awareness on key topics: IDP rights, GBV, self-care and personal hygiene, key protection and child protection messages
  • Setting up a strong community network in collaboration with Consortium partners (Protection, WASH and Shelter actors) and in link with PUI health and nutrition activities (public health surveillance, detection and referral of malnutrition cases)
  • Identify, monitor and refer (internally and externally) individuals with specific needs
  • Design and implement a protection monitoring strategy and regular protection monitoring activities
  • Develop monthly protection monitoring analysis and reports to inform current and future programming and conduct local advocacy efforts
  • Identify multi-sector emerging needs in the targeted areas and perform rapid assessments and referral (internally and externally)
  • Strengthen PUI knowledge of the community.

Required Profile
Training:

  • Relevant Master’s Degree from an accredited academic institution preferably in Psychology, Education Science, Social Work
  • Project Management
  • Needs assessment, PSEA, (S)GBV, CP case management

Professional Experience:

  • 3 years as a manager of humanitarian projects in the protection sector
  • Strong experience in community based protection activities and protection monitoring
  • Experience in Protection case management
  • Knowledge of integrated / multi-sector approach
  • Previous experience with database systems

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrating good knowledge of UN and NGO mandates and programs in the humanitarian responses, post conflict construction and development/resilience
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Very good Knowledge of project management

Languages:

  • English is required, Hausa and Kanury are assets.

Proposed Terms
Compensation:

  • Fixed-Term Contract: 6 months minimum
  • Starting date: August 2019
  • Monthly Gross Income: from 1,815 to 2,145 Euros depending on the experience in International Solidarity + 50 Euros per semester seniority with PUI

4. Job Title: Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support Advisor

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Reports to: Medical Coordinator/ HQ MHPSS Advisor
Duration of Mission: 6 months

Overall Objective

  • The Mental Health and Psycho-social Support (MHPSS) Advisor, under the technical supervision of the HQ MHPSS advisor and the responsibility of the Medical Coordinator, provides MHPSS technical support to PUI in Nigeria in order to continue improving the quality of MHPSS activities in our current health programs.
  • The MHPSS Advisor will have to build the capacity of PUI MHPSS and health staff and the health system overall regarding MHPSS in our areas of intervention.

Required Skills and Know-How:

  • Training – Trained in mhGAP training, Protection training (SGBV)
  • Clinical Psychologist (Essential)
  • Relevant degree in Public Health, Social Science or closely related field
  • Experience implementing MHPSS project in emergency (Desirable)
