1.Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lagos

Purpose

  • The role is focused on planning, coordinating and assisting the Firm and its Partners with business development activities, including but not limited to, revenue generation, acquiring new clientele and business & pitching for additional legal services.

Key Primary Responsibilities Amongst Others to Note

  • Identifying new business leads for revenue generation.
  • Pitching the Firm’s legal services.
  • Maintaining strategic relationships with existing clients.

Responsibilities
Business Development Activities:

  • Recommends Firm wide business development initiatives for the Firm’s Practice Groups and lawyers.
  • Identifies, develops and targets growth strategies and plans focused on both financial gain and increased client base.
  • Initiates and supports cross-selling of legal services among lawyers.
  • Drives forward sector campaigns, ensuring the successful delivery and monitoring of potential revenue channels.
  • Develops, delivers and promotes legal services and business development proposals for clients on technical services in an effective & professional manner.
  • Evaluates and maintains the Firm’s databases utilized for business development, public relations and client services, and generates reports as requested.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) optional;
  • Minimum of Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in Sales Function, Business Management, Market Research, Communications/Digital Marketing or similar roles.
  • Ideal candidate must have worked in a legal firm.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, including excellent writing; and presentation skills with emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Excellent inter-personal and persuasion skills;
  • Excellent problem solving, listening, learning and analytical thinking skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to use Adobe Photoshop/CorelDraw
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with an attention to detail;

2.Job Title: Executive Assistant to Partner

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking to recruit an internationally experienced, result-oriented and self-motivated Executive Assistant.
  • The candidate will provide administrative support to the Partner at a Law Firm.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Organising and maintaining Partner’s diary and email account, as well as scheduling appointments for Partner
  • Coordinating and scheduling Partner’s daily agenda and to-do list, as well as daily, weekly and monthly calendar appointments. Also, managing and organising Partner’s personal agenda, meetings, travels, correspondence and daily routine calls
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing correspondence, i.e., sort and read mail, draft responses, print attachments, maintain network database, receive and send packages, type and dispatch all Partner’s correspondence. Also, collecting and opening all paper mail addressed to Partner
  • Managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • Coordinating and scheduling all business and personal vacation travel arrangements for Partner and occasionally, accommodation
  • Attending to and monitoring urgent enquiries and issues, ensuring that they are brought to the Partner’s direct attention and where necessary, referring matters to the appropriate managers for action.
Educational Requirements

  • University Degree (a foreign degree will be an added advantage.)

Minimum Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in similar capacity working with Senior management and executives
  • Global exposure in dealing with various cultures/personal styles will be a plus

Competencies:

  • Must possess excellent communication and persuasive skills; ability to prepare a variety of written communication, including emails, letters, request and formal correspondence
  • Must possess an amiable personality and people-management skills
  • Must be a self-starter, result oriented and highly motivated
  • Must be confident and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain grace under pressure
  • International exposure/experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritise administrative duties and  complete work within set times
  • Perform work at a high level of competence, demonstrating sound grammatical skills and strong attention to detail
  • A Flexible and mature approach to work
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook email & calendar system
